HALLOWEEN'S COMING!

Halloween is next week and I've been booked for a Childminding Party in Haslington on Friday and then all day Saturday too.

I imagine I will be inundated with requests for scary skeletons, green goblins, pumpkins and devils.

Nakatcha Pub/Restaurant in Welsh Row, Nantwich will be offering Free Facepainting for all children who will be dining, they are also putting on Halloween themed games.

TIPPY TOES UPDATE

Earlier in the year I was booked to deliver Tippy Toes sessions at the Polish Family Support Group at Underwood West Children's centre.
The first few sessions were very difficult as most of the families did not speak English and trying to get them to join in with the Hokey Cokey was a real mean feat. However at the end of the 6 sessions, they all joined in with the songs and dances, children, parents and grandparents.
I have just had another block booking confirmed for this group, I'm delighted to be going back to teach them more of our crazy English songs.

This morning, I ran a Taster Session at Nantwich Baby Group with a view to some of the parents coming along to my Saturday class. However, I was asked if I would be starting another class in Nantwich on Tuesdays, so I spoke to Alison Bowett (who runs the group) and she agreed to let me run a Tippy Toes class every Tuesday at 10.15am before the Baby Sign at 11.00am.

If you are interested in joining class email sharon@hullabalookids.net

CRAFTY KID

Today was a rainy rainy day so after picking Luke up from nursery we decided to stay at home and make a robot. Over the past few months, I have been collecting empty cereal boxes and today was the day when they came in handy.

We spent just under an hour glueing and sticking foil, cutting and drawing. Lots of fun and great to spend time not looking at the laptop.

Look at my clever little boy's creation, obviously with a little help from me!

DJ SHARON

Well, Wednesday was my first broadcast on Redshift Radio. I arrived at the studio to find there was a power cut but fortunately there was power in the actual studio...phew!
I started off a little shaky but by the time I had my 2nd guest in, I was so relaxed and loving being a radio presenter!

Here's to the next 19 shows!

RADIO SHOW GOES LIVE!!!

Hi,

I've really neglected writing my blog but things have been so chaotic.
My new radio show 'Toddler Talk' goes live tomorrow, Wednesday 8th September 10am till 12pm.

I am nervous, excited and apprehensive about hosting my first ever radio show.
I will be focusing on 'Mumpreneurs' and have 2 guests to chat to so I'm keeping fingers and toes crossed that I have enough material.

Wish me luck and listen to the station on www.redshiftradio.co.uk

RADIO GA GA

I've no idea where the last 2 weeks have gone but I have run 2 Gruffalo Workshops, a Pirates & Princess workshops, Facepainted at Wulvern Housing Family Fun Day and attended a Facepainting training with the Wolfe Brothers (who are very famous in the Facepainting World!) As well as the regular Baby Sign classes.

Also, to top it off, I have agreed to sponsor and present my own show on a new internet Radio Station called 'RedShift Radio', my show is entitled 'Toddler Talk' which will cover topics from pregnancy to pre-school, local and celebrity news, professional support and advice and much much more. I gathered if I didn't take the opportunity then somebody else would, its always been something I'm interested in and I have always listened to local and national radio so I thought why not give it a go?!

I'm busy preparing for it now and its less than 3 weeks till we're on air, launch date is Monday 6th September. How very scarey!

If you or anyone you know may be interested in sponsoring, advertising or appearing on a show please pass on my details:- sharon@hullabalookids.net or call 07973 479471 or go to http://redshiftradio.co.uk/Home for more details.

Hope you will be joining me over the airwaves very soon!

DIMENSIONS LEISURE CENTRE

I visited Dimensions Leisure Centre in Burslem for a swim a few weeks ago with a friend and her little girl and absolutely loved it. The pool was fantastic and I can't believe there are no photos on the website that do it any justice.
I haven't been able to swim since having laser eye surgery but seen as I have a few days off next weekend, I think we should visit as a family. Mark is a real water baby and hope Luke follows in his footsteps, although we did have the water wobbles a few months ago.

Here are more details about it from the site:-
Our modern, light and friendly centre offers a fantasy themed leisure pool with ‘dragon slide’, hot spa pools, ‘water rapids’ and a tropical beach bar.

On dry land, Dimensions also includes a sports hall, outdoor synthetic football pitches and access to Dimensions Health and Fitness Club. We also have a spinning studio and licensed café bar.
